Dr. Lee, as a teenager, suffered a two year long injury that shattered his dream in becoming
an Olympian in Tae Kwon Do, a Korean Martial Art Olympic Sport.Furthermore, his condition
was not diagnosed properly even after having gone through 9 major specialists and hospitals
including the Johns Hopkins University Medical Center.

After almost a year of suffering with joint pains and stiffness in his elbows, jaws, knees, ankles
and back, he was diagnosed with a rare disease called, the Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.
He was told that if his illness continues to progress, he could die before reaching the age of
thirty. It was a devastating news for an active teenager and a young athlete with dreams to
become an Olympian, one day. He could not even walk so he crawled on his knees, around at
home to get to bathroom and kitchen. He could not open his mouth wide that he had to eat
only soup and liquidfied foods. Dr. Lee tried to end his life a couple of times because he found
no reason to continue his life if he can not play sports and if he has to live his short life with
disability.

In the midst of living day to day without hope, he was introduced to church and Jesus Christ.
As he pondered through life's issues of where he came from and where he was going and
why he was suffering through this kind of disease at such a young age, he found the answer
in the Bible. One night, as he was reading the Scripture, he found the verse 3 John 2.
"Beloved, i prayed that you'd be in good health and be prosperous as your Spirit prospers."
To Dr. Lee, it was as if God was saying, "if you want to be physically healthy again, then
you need to be Spiritually healthy first." On the following Sunday, he learned that his Spirit can
be healthy by receiving Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. And without hesitation,
Dr. Lee invited Jesus Christ as the personal Savior and Lord of his life.

Then his life started to change. Mentally and emotionally, he was very excited about life, filled
with joy, peace and hope - even with his handicaps. But then physically, through a help of a
Korean chiropractic and acupuncture doctor, he found each morning that the swellings in his
joints became less and less. It was as if a miraculous healing was taking place in his body. He
understood it as God's healing touch was in action. Within six months of period, Dr. Lee's
condition improved to the point that his Rheumatologist was in shock to see Dr. Lee walked
into her office, without crutches, and his blood tests became all negative. She also very
curious to the fact that how his disease improved so remarkably without medications.

Today, in his forties with three children, Dr. Lee lives each day with graditude for his life, and
he finds joy in helping his patients through his noble profession.
