Dr. Lee was a patient before he became a doctor, so he understands his patients. As a teenager, Dr. Lee suffered two year long illness that disabled him from school and social life. His diverse training and experience taught Dr. Lee that, "Each patient is unique, deserving individually tailored treatment plan." He also observed that, "a doctor's the most important task is to accurately diagnosing a patient's condition. Only then can he effectively treat the patient." He added, "that's why I committed myself to keeping up-to-date on the latest healthcare technology and information as long as I practice." Dr. Lee shows special concern for injury-related conditions, pain management and preventive health care, due in part to his nearly 35 years of experience in martial arts - certified Master in Tae Kwon Do (W.T.F.) and Self Defense, Dr. Lee also treated many athletes - amateur and professional - including the Washington Redskins football players. Dr. Lee serves as sports doctor for the Virginia State TaeKwonDo Association, appointed by the Grandmaster Eung Gil Choi, the president of the VSTKD.
